If you’re going to an NFL game, you better have one of these

Last year, the NFL implemented a “clear bag policy” to speed up security searches and ensure that fans are not bringing in alcohol, weapons, and other banned items.  It is a pain for fans like us who have young children and need to bring juice, diapers, wipes, and who knows what else.  We broke down and bought a clear bag because we need to bring kiddo supplies with us.

What is the NFL policy on bringing bags into games?

The NFL clear bag policy can be found here.  Here are the highlights of the policy:

• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com/allclear).
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
• Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.
• An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, non-approved seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

The NFL Clear Bag that we purchased

We bought our bag last year when we went to the Chicago Bears game in Chicago.  It is all packed and ready for the Dolphins at Broncos game today in Denver.
