The trade of Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Cleveland Cavaliers has been talked about for awhile now. At first, Cleveland balked about giving up 3 1st round picks (Anthony Bennett, Andrew Wiggins, and a 2015 1st round pick) for Kevin Love, but whatever Lebron wants, Lebron gets.
A last-minute twist in the deal meant including the Philadelphia 76ers so they could continue to unload salaries in an attempt to get a high draft pick in 2015.
Now, people are going to talk trash about Lebron going back to Cleveland…
but going back to Cleveland was the smartest business decision Lebron could have made. And with this trade, and adding a couple of low-priced veterans to complete the roster like they did in his Miami years, Lebron has single-handedly turned the Cleveland Cavaliers from a marginal playoff team into the top 1 or 2 teams in the Eastern Conference, if not the whole NBA.
It’s going to be an interesting season!
