About Madison Square Garden

From the OneShare.com website:

Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, Madison Square Garden is the oldest sporting facility in the New York metro area and home to the New York Rangers, the New York Knicks and the New York Liberty. Described by Billy Joel as “the iconic, holy temple of Rock and Roll”, The Garden is also the busiest music arena in the United States. Additionally, MSG has hosted both Republican and Democratic National Conventions and is the yearly site of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Baily Circus, to name just a few. That’s a lot of history and fun packed into one share.

Madison Square Garden is moving

That’s right.  MSG is being forced to move once their lease expires in a few years.  I wrote about it a few months ago on BaldThoughts.com.

Imagine doing a $1 billion upgrade, then being told that you need to move.  Luckily, they have 10 years before they have to leave, but WOW does that suck!

My buddy David and I are going to New York in a couple of months to run a Spartan Sprint race at Citi Field, then we’re going to catch the New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.  I’m so glad that I’ll catch a game there before they move to a new arena!
